Welcome to EFL!
English as a Foreign Language (EFL) is an academic program designed to develop the basic English skills of students who wish to study in a community college or university in the USA. Working students can also benefit by improving language skills for their professional development.
Wake Tech’s international students represent over 100 different countries. At any given time, approximately one thousand international students are studying in various degree programs. For more information on international students, visit international.waketech.edu.
Reminder for advanced EFL students
If you will be moving into a major in summer or fall 2010 please come to the EFL office to register for the math test and get a release from EFL. Doing this before registration begins will make summer and fall registration easier for you.
Registration for summer and fall semesters 2010
- Summer 2010 schedules will be available on WebAdvisor beginning March 22nd.; Between March 22nd and April 16th, come to the EFL office for advising. Returning EFL students will be able to register for summer on April 16th and payment will be due May 3rd. New EFL students will be able to register for summer beginning April 19th and should come to the EFL office, TE 109, for advising beginning 12th.
- Fall 2010 schedules will be available on March 29th and registration for General Education students will begin on June 16th with payment due July 29th. New students for fall will be able to register June 21st and should come to the EFL office, TE 109, for advising beginning May 24th.
